Allvarlig magnesiumbrist kan ge kramp. \u00c4mnet spelar \u00e4ven en viktig roll n\u00e4r det kommer till m\u00e4nniskans \u00e4mnesoms\u00e4ttning. M\u00e4nniskokroppen inneh\u00e5ller ca 25 g magnesium, varav 50-60 % \u00e4r bundet i skelettet och resten i \u00f6vrig v\u00e4vnad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hur verkar magnesium?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00e4r \u00e4mnet tas upp av kroppen bidrar det bland annat till att skapa enzymer och DNA, vilket hj\u00e4lper b\u00e5de muskler och nerver att fungera. \u00c4ven kalcium- och D-vitaminniv\u00e5er \u00f6kar med hj\u00e4lp av magnesium. I sin tur hj\u00e4lper detta b\u00e5de blodtryck och blodsocker. Den som inte f\u00e5r i sig tillr\u00e4ckligt av \u00e4mnet via kosten kan beh\u00f6va komplettera med olika typer av tillskott. Det som vanligtvis rekommenderas \u00e4r magnesiumcitrat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Att f\u00e5 f\u00f6r stora doser \u00e4r dock inte heller bra d\u00e5 det kan ha en laxerande effekt. Detta sker dock fr\u00e4mst om man anv\u00e4nder tillskott i f\u00f6r stora m\u00e4ngder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mat med magnesium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De flesta f\u00e5r i sig tillr\u00e4ckliga m\u00e4ngder av \u00e4mnet naturligt via olika livsmedel. Bland annat finns \u00e4mnet i baljv\u00e4xter, bladgr\u00f6nsaker, fullkornsprodukter och k\u00f6tt, fisk och skaldjur. Vi f\u00e5r ocks\u00e5 i oss magnesium genom vattnet vi dricker, framf\u00f6rallt i kommuner med h\u00e5rt vatten. I ren m\u00f6rk choklad finns det ocks\u00e5 en relativt h\u00f6g m\u00e4ngd. Man beh\u00f6ver olika mycket magnesium beroende p\u00e5 k\u00f6n och \u00e5lder, men en frisk vuxen beh\u00f6ver ungef\u00e4r 280-350 milligram magnesium per dag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brist p\u00e5 magnesium<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Magnesiumbrist kan bero p\u00e5 naturliga orsaker. Kroppen \u00e4r byggd f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 ett tillskott av metaller och brist p\u00e5 detta kan yttra sig p\u00e5 flera s\u00e4tt.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Totalt ing\u00e5r metallen i 300 olika funktioner i kroppen och \u00e4r d\u00e4rmed mycket viktig. S\u00e5 pass viktig att brist p\u00e5 \u00e4mnet kan leda till flera allvarliga symtom, bland annat illam\u00e5ende, muskelkramper, f\u00f6rvirring och hj\u00e4rtfrekvensst\u00f6rningar. Att f\u00e5 brist p\u00e5 \u00e4mnet \u00e4r relativt ovanligt men kan ske hos personer som lider av bland annat \u00e4tst\u00f6rningar, alkoholism eller har kostrestriktioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kan man f\u00e5 i sig f\u00f6r mycket?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u00e5 samma s\u00e4tt som magnesiumbrist inte \u00e4r bra s\u00e5 kan \u00e4ven f\u00f6r mycket vara skadligt. \u00d6verdosering av \u00e4mnet \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt ovanligt men kan ske om man tar tillskott och inte h\u00e5ller sig till den rekommenderade dosen. Att kroppen lagrar f\u00f6r mycket av \u00e4mnet naturligt kan dock f\u00f6rekomma. Detta kan ske vid vissa njursjukdomar, eftersom njurarna tar hand om ungef\u00e4r 60 % av v\u00e5rt \u00f6verskott av \u00e4mnet varje dag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c4ven vid skelettcancer kan h\u00f6ga niv\u00e5er f\u00f6rekomma. Detta beror p\u00e5 att benv\u00e4vnaden bryts ned snabbt vid detta tillst\u00e5nd. F\u00f6r mycket av \u00e4mnet i kroppen m\u00e4rks ofta av att den drabbade f\u00e5r diarr\u00e9.
