En stor anledning \u00e4r att det \u00f6kar belastningen p\u00e5 vissa leder, s\u00e5som rygg, kn\u00e4n och h\u00f6fter. Samtidigt inneb\u00e4r \u00f6kad fettmassa en \u00f6kad risk f\u00f6r inflammation i kroppen. Idag \u00e4r protesoperation den sista utv\u00e4gen f\u00f6r de som som drabbas av artros, men det kan vara ett riskfyllt ingrepp f\u00f6r de med fetma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fetma (ett BMI \u00f6ver 30) har visat sig \u00f6ka risken f\u00f6r infektioner efter protesoperation i kn\u00e4t. De med ett BMI \u00f6ver 40, dvs. allvarlig fetma, lider \u00e4nnu h\u00f6gre risk att drabbas. Att endast anv\u00e4nda sig av BMI som indikator \u00e4r dock inte optimalt. BMI m\u00e4ter n\u00e4mligen inte muskelmassa i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande till fett eller skelett. Sarkopen fetma, dvs. fetma i kombination med muskelsvaghet, \u00f6kar risken vid kn\u00e4operationer \u00e4n mer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fetma-muskelmassa-och-overvikt-i-forhallande-till-artros\">Fetma, muskelmassa och \u00f6vervikt i f\u00f6rh\u00e5llande till artros<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De som har artros har h\u00f6gre risk f\u00f6r sarkopen fetma, eftersom ledsm\u00e4rtan g\u00f6r det sv\u00e5rt att r\u00f6ra p\u00e5 sig. Samtidigt \u00f6kar risken f\u00f6r artros med s\u00e5v\u00e4l \u00e5lder som \u00f6vervikt. Det \u00e4r d\u00e4rmed inte ovanligt att hamna i en ond cirkel d\u00e4r sm\u00e4rtan \u00f6kar i samband med minskad aktivitet och \u00f6kad vikt. Detta \u00f6kar risken f\u00f6r samsjuklighet, dvs. att utveckla \u00e4ven andra sjukdomar. Exempelvis \u00f6kar risken f\u00f6r diabetes och hj\u00e4rt- &amp; k\u00e4rlsjukdomar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samtidigt kan viktnedg\u00e5ng g\u00f6ra att individen inte bara minskar i fettmassa utan \u00e4ven muskelmassa. Muskelmassa \u00e4r \u00e4ven sv\u00e5rare att f\u00e5 tillbaka n\u00e4r man g\u00e5r upp i vikt igen. Att g\u00e5 upp och ner i vikt, s\u00e5 kallad jojo-bantning, kan d\u00e4rf\u00f6r leda till allt mindre muskelmassa. Mindre muskler leder i sin tur till att allt mer belastning hamnar p\u00e5 lederna, vilket \u00f6kar risken f\u00f6r artros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-styrketraning-ett-viktigt-element-i-artrosbehandling\">Styrketr\u00e4ning ett viktigt element i <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jointacademy.com\/se\/sv\/fakta\/behandling\/behandla-med-joint-academy\/\">artrosbehandling<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Starkare muskler kan avlasta lederna, vilket kan minska sm\u00e4rtan som kommer med artros. Samtidigt inneb\u00e4r en \u00f6kad fysisk f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga mindre risker med en eventuell operation. Styrketr\u00e4ning kan ocks\u00e5 bidra till en minskning av fettmassan, d\u00e5 muskler kr\u00e4ver mer energi \u00e4n fett. Detta inneb\u00e4r en \u00f6kning av \u00e4mnesoms\u00e4ttningen. Eftersom muskler v\u00e4ger mer \u00e4n fett per yta kan det ocks\u00e5 vara en id\u00e9 att inte enbart m\u00e4ta framstegen p\u00e5 v\u00e5gen.
