Joint Academy Expands in the U.S. – Acquires Two Washington Clinics and Launches Hybrid Physical Therapy Model
May 7, 2025

We’re proud to announce that we’ve successfully expanded our U.S. business with the acquisition and integration of two physical therapy clinics in Washington state: Stanwood Camano Physical Therapy and Peninsula Physical Therapy. Over the past few months, we’ve not only brought these clinics into the Joint Academy family—we’ve also fully launched our hybrid model of care to hundreds of patients, combining in-person treatment with our evidence-based digital platform.
With our hybrid approach, physical therapists at both clinics are now offering patients the opportunity to follow a personalized home exercise program via the Joint Academy app. This means patients can access treatment anytime, receive reminders to stay on track, and maintain direct contact with their therapist between clinic visits. It’s improving care quality, convenience, and outcomes.
“Joint Academy has been a game-changer for our clinic. As a leader in virtual treatment, it offers an incredibly user-friendly platform that both patients and therapists appreciate. I’ve been using it personally and have seen a noticeable improvement in patient satisfaction and engagement. Beyond the clinical benefits, it is contributing significantly to our revenue stream, making the clinic more profitable.”
– Andy Bhatia, Clinic Manager at Stanwood Camano

Thanks to our integration of Remote Therapeutic Monitoring (RTM), therapists can now track patient progress remotely and adjust treatment plans in real time—while also benefiting from a new, billable service through existing health plan contracts. RTM helps us deliver more responsive, personalized care while supporting clinic operations and revenue growth.
“Implementing Joint Academy’s RTM platform has had a major impact on our clinic. It’s not just improving care quality—it’s also opened up a new, consistent revenue stream.”
– Mark Dutton, Clinic Manager at Peninsula Physical Therapy

The Joint Academy model is rooted in science and proven in 40+ clinical studies to reduce pain, improve function, and lower cost. Our mission is to make high-quality, accessible physical therapy available to everyone—and our latest U.S. expansion is a major step toward that goal.
This is just the beginning. With the success of our hybrid model in Washington, we’re preparing to expand to additional clinics across the U.S.
