1. About this Accessibility Statement
This statement describes how Joint Academy is working to improve accessibility in our digital services while working towards WCAG 2.2 level AA and complying with accessibility Regulations 2018.
Website: https://www.jointacademy.com/gb/en/
Mobile apps: Joint Academy for iOS and Android in the UK market
We want as many people as possible to be able to use our digital services, regardless of their circumstances or assistive tools. This statement explains how well we meet accessibility requirements, what shortcomings exist, and how you can contact us if you encounter any barriers.
2. How Accessible is the Service?
Joint Academy’s website and app partially comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, (and as relevant, new criteria in WCAG 2.2) which also corresponds to the European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03).
We are aware that some parts are not yet fully accessible. Details are listed below. If you experience any issues not mentioned here, or if you believe we are not meeting the requirements, please contact us at [email protected].
3. Known Accessibility Issues
Images, Text, and Headings
- Some texts, graphic elements, and interactive objects have insufficient contrast values.
- Some images, icons, and graphical elements lack complete text alternatives.
- Enlarging text can sometimes make content difficult to read.
- Video meetings do not include subtitles, which may make them difficult to use for people with hearing impairments.
- Headings are not always used consistently to clearly describe content structure or purpose.
- Automatic updates (e.g., in chat features) need clearer communication for users with screen readers.
Navigation and Structure
- Some parts of the service can be difficult to navigate using alternative input methods.
- The underlying code structure in some parts of the site/app needs improvement to support assistive technologies in correctly interpreting content.
- Certain links may open in a new window without prior warning, and focus indicators can be weak on some interactive components.
- Some interactive objects lack clear labels or instructions for users of assistive technologies.
- The mobile apps currently only support portrait (vertical) orientation, limiting usability for some users.
Forms and Input Fields
- Some forms do not provide sufficient feedback when input errors occur.
- Certain fields lack clear labels or descriptions, making it harder for users with assistive tools.
Cookies
- Cookie settings may be difficult to manage using a keyboard or screen reader.
We are continuously working to identify, prioritize, and address these issues.
4. Completed and Planned Measures
Accessibility work is an integrated part of our product development. We continuously collect feedback from users to improve our digital interfaces.
During 2026, we plan to carry out an in-depth accessibility review of the website and app according to WCAG 2.1 AA, including tests with screen readers, contrast analysis, and keyboard navigation. Any issues identified will be addressed on an ongoing basis as part of our development plan.
5. How Accessibility Has Been Tested
This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out internally by Arthro Therapeutics AB (Joint Academy), supported by tools and guidelines from WCAG 2.1 and EN 301 549.
Parts of the evaluation have been verified through manual review and user testing.
