Joint Academy Launches Social Groups for Motivation During Treatment

January 25, 2022

Living with joint and back pain can significantly impact daily life. Simple activities become challenging, and social isolation is common. Even for those undergoing treatment, staying motivated to follow a structured program can be difficult.

To help patients stay engaged and supported, Joint Academy now offers digital social groups where patients can connect with others in treatment. These groups are available within the Joint Academy app for all patients.

How Social Groups Work

Patients Work Toward a Shared Goal

Social groups function as a forum where members can motivate and support each other throughout their treatment journey.

Shared Activity Goals

Every group has a collective activity goal that members work toward. Each patient contributes by completing their own activities, helping the group progress toward reduced pain and improved function.

Daily Reminders

Members receive reminders to encourage them to complete their daily activities. Once an activity is completed, it is automatically published in the group feed. This feature fosters accountability and encourages others to stay consistent with their treatment.

Networking and Interaction

Patients can post, comment, and chat with fellow group members. This interactive space allows patients to exchange experiences, discuss treatment strategies, and support one another.

Motivation and Support

By fostering a sense of community, Joint Academy’s social groups provide ongoing motivation and encouragement. This support helps patients remain engaged in their treatment, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life over time.
