Living with joint and back pain has a major impact on everyday life. Simple activities become challenging, and you can feel isolated from social events. For those who take part in treatment, it can be difficult to find the motivation to keep up with their program.
Joint Academy is now offering patients the opportunity to participate in digital, social groups together with other patients in treatment. Groups are available in the Joint Academy app for all patients.
Patients work towards a shared goal
Groups works like a forum where the members can motivate and support each other.
A shared goal Every group has a shared activity goal that the members work towards. Members contribute by completing their own activities. Together, the group works towards less pain and increased function.
Daily reminders Members get reminders to encourage them to do their activities every day. Completed activities will automatically be published in the feed. The feature encourages others to do their daily activities, and provides an opportunity to cheer each other on.
Networking and interaction Group members can post, comment and chat with each other. This way members can exchange experiences and discuss the treatment.
Motivation and support Through the group’s community and support, patients get motivated to keep their treatment going over time, reduce their pain and improve their quality of life.
